Our Member company Kompas is hiring their first business development representative. This is a rocket ship! 

Kompas is a Montreal-based Proptech startup building modern property management and accounting software for real estate owners and operators. Our platform helps landlords and property managers streamline leasing, maintenance, and accounting operations, all in one place. We're a small, fast-growing team focused on solving real problems for real estate professionals with powerful, easy-to-use software. About the Role

You will be the first person a prospect ever talks to at Kompas. This is a high-ownership role on a small sales team, and you will own the top of the funnel: finding the right real estate owners and operators, getting them on the phone, and booking demos for our Account Executives. You are not one cog in a large machine. Your pipeline directly drives our revenue, and you will have real influence over how we sell.

We are looking for someone hungry to build. You will help shape our outbound motion from the ground up, work directly with leadership, and grow into a long-term leadership role as the company scales.

What You'll Do

  • Prospect and identify high-potential real estate owners, property managers, and operators across Canada
  • Make outbound cold calls and book product demos for our Sales Leaders
  • Own the top of the sales cycle end to end, from research to qualified handoff
  • Build multi-touch sequences across phone, email, and LinkedIn that speak to real operational problems, not generic scripts

What We're Looking For

  • Grit and drive: you take personal responsibility for outcomes and want to win
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and French (bilingual required)
  • Coachability: you take feedback seriously and level up fast
  • Competitive mindset: you love setting records, breaking them, and being #1 on the leaderboard
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-ownership startup environment
  • Organized, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • 0-3 years of experience; no prior SDR/BDR experience required. We care more about attitude, drive, and potential than a perfect resume
  • Interest in tech, SaaS, real estate, or a long-term career in sales is a plus
