The other day I was talking to a founder, and he said, “Nothing replaces in-person interaction at events.” I have to say I agree with this. Live experiences are truly unmatched. As a founder, you have to always look for new opportunities to move your company forward, even if it’s by 1 percent. Events are a great way to meet people in your industry. Nothing replaces the engagement you get from live experiences.
The biggest thing is that not all events are created equal. Some may not be worth your time. This is why some founders argue that massive meetups don’t work. It’s becoming into sea of pitches.
Here are some places to check out for startup events and tech conferences:
7. X (formerly Twitter)
You’ll see posts on X where event organizers start sharing and organizing events for startups and tech.
6. Facebook Groups
While engagement in Facebook Groups is down, some can still be relevant. Facebook also has a dedicated events section, so be sure to check that out.
5. LinkedIn
LinkedIn has to be one of the best places for B2B companies. While the audience may be more corporate, startup content is on the rise on the platform.
4. Accelerators and Incubators Events
Accelerators and incubators often run their own events. You can get notified about these via each accelerator usually via their social channels.
3. Luma

2. Eventbrite
Eventbrite is one of the oldest and best sites out there to discover upcoming events. The platform has evolved recently since it was acquired. To stay in touch with events follow your favourite organizations. Check out FoundersBeta up coming events there.
