Entrepreneurship Program Coordinator

The YSpace Program Coordinator will work with the Entrepreneurship Unit in the implementation of its
funded programs and operationalization of the team’s administrative systems to accelerate growth for
participating companies. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for effectively coordinating the
logistics for programming, workshops and events, supporting metrics tracking and reporting, as well as
providing administrative support.

Funded Programs Coordination
• Support the Entrepreneurship unit on the planning, administration and logistics of its programming, including
workshops and events. This includes but is not limited to:
o Sourcing and securing speakers
o Communication and promotion of upcoming programs and workshops
o Preparing and distributing materials for workshops and events
o Coordinating logistics before and during workshops and events (in-person and virtual)
o Act as first point of contact for the funded programs, answer inquiries and collect feedback from
program participants
o Liaise with York University Finance and Procurement departments to facilitate payments to external
Metrics Tracking
• Support the Entrepreneurship unit in collecting monthly, quarterly and annual metrics and success stories for
reporting to government funders and Innovation York
• Engage with program alumni to gather feedback, their annual metrics to track success stories

• Completion of university degree in Business, Entrepreneurship or related field or a college diploma with two
years of related work experience

• 1-2 years of recent related experience in a project or program coordination role, with experience in
administration, engagement and event planning
• Strong written and oral communication skills to elicit information and provide accurate
• information clearly and concisely
• Demonstrated administrative support experience from implementing project procedures and
• guidelines, ensuring consistent flow of processes, maintaining constant communication for complete lifecycle
management of companies, and developing surveys to solicit and generate feedback
• Ability to work effective both independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to exercise initiative and good judgement
• Ability to exercise tact, diplomacy and maintain confidentiality
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and frequent interruptions
• Punctual and good organization and time management skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, Sharepoint, One Drive, Slack and Adobe Acrobat
• Knowledge of entrepreneurial lifecycle and experience working with entrepreneurs is considered an asset
• Proficiency in French is considered an asset
