Canada is a host to one of the most global startup competitions. Queen’s Entrepreneurs’ Competition (QEC) is one of the most prestigious undergraduate competitions in Canada with over $80,000 in prizes each year.The competition is student-run and judged by company executives, a few notable companies in the past are: Google, CIBC, NEO, and Accenture. The competition is located in the heart of Toronto, Ontario, with attendees visiting from investment firms and large corporations. The competition is international and open to all undergraduate students with an entrepreneurial business. Startup of the Year Global Competition
This startup competition is for early-stage startups from around the world that have an ingenious product or service! Startup of the Year (SOTY), powered by Established since 2006, discovers and supports the most promising and innovative startups from around the world. Jacobs Startup Competition
This is one of the largest student organized startup competitions. The Jacobs Startup Competition is an international competition for student entrepreneurs from all over the world – organized entirely by students. Every year, students welcome teams from all over the world, give them access to a large network of founders, mentors and experts, and provide a platform to pitch their ideas to judges and investors. Microsoft Ventures M12 Female Founder Competition
M12 (Microsoft Ventures) showcases top global female founder startups. The top 2 finalist will win with $2M each in venture funding. Submissions are now open usually in September. The 2 winning startups will each receive a $2,000,000 USD investment, with a total prize pool valued at $4,651,500 USD.
