Pitch Battle is coming up at Canadian Fintech Summit Pitch Battle. Check out the details below:
On Monday, April 15th, we’ll be hosting our second annual Pitch Battle. Selected start-ups will be presenting in one of three categories: The Future of Payments, The Future of Fintech and AI or The Future of Retail.
Category #1: The Future of Payments
Together with our premier sponsor Visa Canada, a leader in payments technology, we will be hosting The Future of Payments Pitch Battle exclusive to payment start-ups and scale-ups that are payments related, enable payments, or leverage payments data. We are interested in companies that are able to demonstrate their product or service as a seamless experience for their customers. The winner will be invited to a private networking dinner where they can rub shoulders with top Visa executives and other payment industry leaders.
Category #2: The Future of Fintech and AI
The Future of Fintech and AI Pitch Battle is open to all fintech and AI start-up companies. We are looking for the best fintech start-ups tackling solutions in capital markets, lending, accounting, and more, to pitch their innovations and compete for a chance to win an investment prize of over $100,000.
Category #3: The Future of Retail
The Future of Retail Pitch Battle will be co-hosted by Cadillac Fairview, one of North America’s largest owners, operators and developers of best-in-class office, retail, and mixed use properties. We are interested in start-ups that help simplify the shopper journey by bridging the digital and physical experience, thereby creating a frictionless interaction for both consumers and retail clients. Contestants will compete for an opportunity to pilot their technology directly in a major retail shopping centre setting.
In all three Pitch Battle categories, all start-ups will have 6-8 minutes each to pitch their fintech or AI business, innovation or idea followed by Q&A with our expert VC and corporate judges.
Incredible opportunity to win game-changing prizes!
Prizes include a private networking dinner offered by Visa Canada, an investment prize of over $100,000 from Framework Venture Partners, and a retail pilot opportunity with Cadillac Fairview. The investment prize money of $100,000 is open to all start-ups presenting in all three Pitch Battle categories. However, only one start-up company will be awarded the investment prize.
Last year, Dan DeMers, CEO and Co-Founder of Cinchy and Monique Morden, CEO of Lendified (pictured) won the investment prize of over $100,000 each.
Don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity to showcase your company!
Deadline to apply has been extended to April 5, 2019.
