Contrary has announced the Gap Year 2020 program. The launch was covered this morning by Protocol, Forbes, Business Insider, and The New York Times. Through the program, Contrary will be investing up to $100,000 in 5 companies who choose to build rather than pay high prices for online classes.
The only requirements are that teams commit to working on their company full-time from September through spring of 2021, and that at least one member of the team is taking a gap year to build the company (undergrad/grad students and dropouts are welcome).
You can learn more about the program via our blog post here and teams with at least one member enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
