We are looking for an exceptionally driven individual to help manage and develop our growing Toronto workforce. You will be leading the HR policies and procedures and helping to develop and grow our team for our downtown Toronto office. As a key member of the Human Resources team, you will be responsible for executing the comprehensive scope of human resources programs and processes for Statflo.
Act as a business partner and work with all management to ensure their human resources needs are managed and supported.
Summary of Team:
Statflo’s HR team builds the foundation that the rest of the company operates on and works collaboratively with all teams.
The team includes an HR coordinator focusing on talent and onboarding of new team members and an executive sponsor to help provide institutional context, escalate items to the executive team and establish departmental goals.
HR works closely with the broader operations team including the VP of Finance and the Office Manager.
Drive and improve performance reviews process and follow-up on process.
Help management to define learning paths for each department.
Be the trusted advisor, providing expert advice, guidance and coaching to managers in all aspects of HR including employee relations, employment equity, salary administration, job description and evaluation, performance appraisal, performance management and attendance management.
Maintain, execute in and improve the HR technology stack at Statflo in collaboration with the HR coordinator including BambooHR, Lattice, Lever, Officevibe, Confluence and any other pertinent tools.
Take an active role in resolving employee relations/hotline complaints issues including investigation, documentation, discussion and resolution in concert with management team.
Ensures legal compliance to the Employee Standards Act of Ontario, the Canada Labour Code, Ontario Health & Safety, and other regulations and best practices.
Assist in interpretation and provide advice and counsel to employees and managers on company policies, practices and procedures.
Recommend appropriate level of discipline based on company policy and support the management team in investigations and implementation of correctives actions.
Ensures that Statflo’s Health and Safety Committee are up to date and meeting regularly.
Work in collaboration with management and the Office Manager to ensure Statflo is meeting all company policies and procedures in regards to Health and Safety.
Help management administer time off at Statflo including vacation time, sick days, maternity and paternity leave.
You will be successful in this role if you:
Have a CHRP designation or working towards designation an asset.
Bachelor degree in Human Resources or a related field or equivalent.
4+ years HR Generalist or equivalent experience.
Experience working within an SMB professional environment.
Strong legal and regulatory experience in employment and labour.
Experience with Federal Labour Regulations and Standards is an asset.
Requires knowledge of the Canada Labour Code, Human Rights Acts and Employment Equity reporting requirements.
Excellent facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills (high EQ).
Experience in providing presentations and training programs to all levels of employees.
Strong organizational and prioritization.
