Position Overview

At GRIN, Product Operations builds strong connective tissue between the product & engineering org, and user-facing teams. As a Sr. Product Operations Manager, you’ll work directly with the Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, and Data functions to support all aspects of our product lifecycle – from product strategy to product management, product development and product delivery. You’ll be responsible for building strong connections with user-facing teams, ensuring a tight product feedback loop, and driving continuous improvements to the systems and processes that drive effective product development.

In this role you will collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive data-informed decisions about our products, identify actionable insights throughout the product development process, sizing opportunities, analyzing experiments, developing and monitoring key metrics, and informing strategic decisions with data. From evangelizing our roadmap, to facilitating workshops with our stakeholders, to the evolution and documentation of our processes, you’ll become an expert on our products and what we can do to improve.

What you’ll do:

  • Understand & become a subject matter expert on GRIN’s customers, product, and industry.
  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, and Data functions across the organization to support all aspects of our product lifecycle – from product strategy to delivery.
  • Develop and drive continuous improvements to systems & processes that support effective planning, collaboration, knowledge management, and methodological best practices around product development across GRIN.
  • Develop intelligent systems to collect, quantify, and prioritize product opportunities as a key input in regular planning and research cycles, including stakeholder feedback.
  • Define, monitor and socialize key Product metrics, enabling teams to be data-informed; communicate and evangelize data driven insights to ensure GRIN is building the right things and moving the right metrics.
  • Partner with the Product Operations Analyst(s) to define and build tracking tools to define the roadmap, measure health and performance, and identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Partner with Product, Design & Product Marketing to explore and analyze user experience and product performance data, develop goals and tracking metrics, and ensure product priorities align with GRIN’s short term and long-term goals.
  • Identify and actively build connections with relevant subject matter experts across the company to surface insights, to get them excited about what Product is building, and to pave the way for smoother future rollouts.
  • Uplevel GRIN’s understanding of how the product is being used in the real world.
  • Facilitate a strong culture of trust, collaboration, and accountability where teams can work efficiently and deliver high-quality products quickly.
  • Ensure alignment and education across the Product Org on our tool-set and best practices.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 6+ years of experience in product operations, product management or product analytics, preferably at a high-growth tech startup.
  • Strong product and strategy mindset; you’re perpetually asking the ”why?’.
  • Strong communicator with excellent verbal and written presentation skills; you are great at explaining highly technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project/program management background with a track record of leading and proactively managing end-to-end execution.
  • Demonstrated data fluency; you’re comfortable with large datasets, designing data visualizations, extracting meaning from your analysis, and then conveying your insights or recommendations to a wide audience.
  • Expertise in using research and analytics to solve complex product problems.
  • Working knowledge of SQL or other database querying languages (nice to have).
