About the Role

As King Street Media continues to scale, we are seeking an experienced sales and business development professional to join our leadership team. In this role you will be accountable for executing the company’s sales and strategic partnerships plan, strategy, tactics and ultimately revenue outcomes. The Head of Sales will work closely with the managing partner, marketing and finance heads to project revenue targets, manage the company’s pipeline and ensure growth in leading and lagging revenue KPIs.

Responsibilities

Your number one priority is to ensure new business and revenue targets are created for the agency’s growing team. In the role of Head of Sales, you will also:

  • Create quarterly, monthly and yearly new business targets
    Research and develop new business via cold outreach, networking and events
    Manage and prepare proposals to acquire prospective clients, in collaboration with the accounts team and subject matter experts of the agency
    Negotiate and close multiple sales deals (retainers and projects) to achieve the agency’s predetermined revenue targets
    Build and maintain strong relationships in the professional services, agency and entrepreneurship spaces in our target growth regions
    Develop and execute on various business development initiatives as per the client acquisition plan
    Create a sales tactics mix that is executed on a weekly basis
    Build and present reports on KPIs weekly to the leadership team
    Nurture leads and understand their issues inside and out, and triage those leads to the appropriate internal subject matter experts for consulting and solutions
    Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on internal business development data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement
    Work with the Managing Partner and Chief of Staff to develop a sales process, rev ops and team that scales the sales pipeline over time

Requirements and Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience (preferably within a marketing agency or similar)
    Understanding of digital marketing and the agency ecosystem in Canada is an asset
    Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
    Familiarity with CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, sales intelligence, and relevant tools
    Drive for hunting and closing new deals
    Extremely strong relationship building and networking skills
    Well connected to the agency and business ecosystem in Canada
    Proven ability to quickly learn and evolve in a dynamic growing technology first company
    Comfort working in a high-growth, constantly changing environment
    Ability to shift priorities quickly and act proactively, while maintaining organization and control
    Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently with internal and external stakeholders
    Ability to work independently and deliver results with little supervision
    Results-oriented; driven and self-motivated with strong initiative
    Structured about how to prioritize work and time

Compensation

Compensation is structured as 50% base salary and 50% performance:

OTE Year 1 $140,000

OTE Year 2 $220,000 +
