As an HR Business Partner at Vena you’ll be responsible for partnering with leaders across the organization to drive alignment, engagement and high performance within their teams. You will be a champion of our culture and values, and a trusted advisor with the ability to think strategically and to drive execution.
What you will do
Align with business leaders in the planning and execution of overall business strategies, and advise on people-related contributions, solutions, implications and risks of proposed business initiatives.
Provide both hands-on support and strategic guidance in areas including coaching/development, organizational design, succession planning, talent assessment and development, compensation, employee relations, etc.
Support leaders in the creation of a high-performance culture
Be the expert around people challenges especially as it relates to talent, performance, and change
Partner closely with the People team and leadership across the business to ensure programs developed connect the dots back to the needs of the business and employees
You’ll have responsibility for the implementation and communication of HR programs and initiatives to your business groups
Collaborate with the People team and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and effective onboarding & offboarding of Vena employees
Identify training needs and collaborate with L&D to drive program delivery
Analyze trends and metrics to develop and update people programs and policies
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risk, and ensuring regulatory compliance
Manage internal communication standards when it comes to change management
Foster a positive and engaging culture and work environment
Does this sound like you?
You have 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 3 years as an HRBP, in a fast-paced, high performing organization
Experience in a high-growth technology organization is preferred
You have strong business acumen with the ability to understand business and financial conditions, link HR and business strategy, and identify ways to improve business performance
You are skilled at identifying and assessing current organizational capabilities: building what’s required, shaping and supporting culture, and aligning organizational programs to reinforce a world-class work environment
You have experience in leadership coaching and development, as well as overall talent management and assessment including high-potential identification & development
You are able to quickly build relationships, trust, and credibility with leaders and employees across an organization
You have outstanding organizational skills; managing and prioritizing multiple projects and tasks on an ongoing basis
You have extraordinary interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
You are able to influence and partner across all levels of the organization
You are capable of being flexible and nimble within a changing organization
You have strong working knowledge of Canadian employment law
An understanding of US and UK employment law is a strong asset
You hold a degree in a related discipline
