As a full-time Sales Development Representative at ForwardAI, you will be responsible for finding and qualifying prospects for our innovative products and related services primarily in the Canadian and US banking market. You will work closely with the:

  • Sales Team to generate quality sales opportunities
  • Marketing team on converting marketing leads into qualified sales leads
  • Leadership team to identify key target markets to pursue.

You are a passionate individual with a strong sales and technical background who thrives in a fast-paced, client-centric, entrepreneurial environment. You are highly motivated, results-oriented and have a proven track record of exceeding targets.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain a self-starter attitude while creating outreach strategies for new lead generation methods=
  • Research and recommend prospects for new business opportunities
  • Support senior sales teams and sales representatives on outbound strategies and lead generating efforts
  • Collaborate with sales teams by bringing innovative lead generation ideas to each weekly meeting
  • Establish active communication and engagement with prospects to create new leads and sales openings
  • Be the first point of contact for new business prospects and determine the next steps for each prospect moving forward
  • Monitor and attend meetings with prospects while handling the introductions and follow-up with the sales representatives
  • Use our CRM to track all sales cycle activity, map progression, and measure pipeline metrics so as to ensure accurate and timely reporting and analytics.
  • Adhere to the ForwardAI standards of system use, sales cycle management, and sales certification including identifying and reporting improvements to drive performance across the Team.


  • Bachelors Degree
  • 2+ years of experience in a Sales Development/Lead Generator or equivalent role
  • Experience in the Financial Services Industry a plus.
  • Experience with using CRM tools such as Salesforce or Hubspot
  • Start-up mentality a must; prior start-up experience a benefit.
  • A true passion for customers – fanatical about getting them the right outcomes and becoming their advocate.
  • Passionate, proactive self-starter that is self-directed and able to solve problems and execute independently.
  • Strong team spirit and able to work effectively in collaboration with others, coordinating across teams and building consensus.
  • Excellent communication skills (fluent in English) and ability to influence and steer customers, and spot opportunities to help.
  • Good business judgement and common sense and able to prioritize effectively.
  • Strong process management skills; won’t drop any balls!
