FoundersBeta is a global community of entrepreneurs, builders, and innovators. We’re on a mission to help the next generation of founders connect, collaborate, and grow. With over 10,000 members strong, we’ve run virtual events and programs—and now, we’re organizing our first-ever in-person event in Toronto!
We’re looking for a highly motivated Event Specialist to lead the planning and execution of our first community in-person event. This is a hands-on opportunity ideal for a student or recent graduate who wants real-world experience in event planning, marketing, and community building.
Responsibilities
- Help plan and organize FoundersBeta’s first-ever in-person event (think: founder talks, panel speakers, and networking night)
- Coordinate logistics: venue selection, budgeting, guest list, catering, tech setup, etc.
- Work with our team on event promotion and outreach via social, email, and community channels
- Support speaker recruitment and communication
- Manage RSVPs, ticketing, and check-in on event day
- Ensure everything runs smoothly on-site and support attendee experience
- Capture photos and insights to share post-event
Requirements:
- Super organized with great attention to detail and follow-through
- A natural communicator—comfortable reaching out to partners, venues, and speakers
- Creative and resourceful—you can make things happen on a budget
- Passionate about startups, entrepreneurship, and community building
- Available for some in-person meetings in Mississauga and Toronto
