Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) is an objectives-based program for massively scalable, seed-stage science- and technology-based companies. The program’s objective-setting process enhances the performance of technical founders who learn from the insights of experienced entrepreneurs, increasing their probability of success.
Founded in 2012 at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, the program has now expanded with locations in Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, Halifax, Oxford, Paris, and Atlanta. Since its inception, companies that have participated in the CDL program have created more than $5.8 billion (CAD) in equity value.
As the Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the marketing efforts of the 8 CDL sites worldwide. This includes, contributing to the development of digital communications, providing website support, and supporting social media platforms and initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include:
Determining the logistics required for the implementation of marketing and communication initiatives
Ensuring the consistency of appearance amongst digital assets
Producing promotional and outreach materials
Analyzing and recommending options for the development of visual expression/layout of digital assets
Advising on strategies to align websites with marketing/communication objectives
Creating and editing web pages with interactive media
Advising on social media trends and platforms to enhance digital communication strategies
Maintaining information on digital platforms
Bachelor’s Degree (BA, BSC, BENG, or BCOM required) or acceptable combination of equivalent education and experience
Minimum four (4) years experience in media, communications, advertising, or public relations
Experience with digital analytics tools including Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Hubspot, etc. (certification is an asset)
Experience in brand management and brand exploration
Understanding of sponsorship revenue models
Experience in event planning and execution
Front-End Development skills: well versed in HTML + CSS
Graphic design skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign
Videography skills in shooting and editing videos
Photography skills in shooting and editing photos
Knowledge of database systems, segmentation, and marketing automation tactics
Ability to work autonomously and independently
