GRIN is looking for a Chief of Staff to act as a strategic partner with the CEO by assisting in all aspects of strategy development, planning, and communications. The Chief of Staff will be someone who can sit in for the CEO and make decisions based on their intimate knowledge and understanding of the vision of the CEO and what they want to accomplish. This isn’t a hybrid EA position, but a fundamental thought partner of the CEO to help brainstorm, create, and execute on the strategy in a rapidly scaling high-growth technology organization.

What You Will Do:

Strategy Planning & Execution

  • Own company operating system evaluation, management, and implementation
  • Assist with the executive planning cycles, the development of GRIN’s three-year strategic plan and the oversight around performance to plan
  • Work closely with Finance to ensure integration of strategy into a multi-year financial plan.
  • Support the communication of the strategy, including the development of necessary executive presentations and materials
  • Ensure the market competitiveness of the strategy through staying abreast of key external market trends, competitive positions, industry disruptors etc.

Special Projects

  • Conduct research projects that provide an in depth review, complex analysis and recommendations across various functions within the company
  • Execute on various corporate opportunities within the company including the strategy, target setting, program design, and integration for such opportunities.
  • Act as a thought partner on M&A strategy and execution, including due diligence, benchmarking, program design, and integration.

Investor, Board Relationships and Communications

  • Act as the communication arm for the CEO with team members, customers, investors, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate prioritization across the business to ensure effective alignment to our strategic priorities
  • Manage board deck creation, create powerful communication tools to manage and monitor progress on GRIN’s strategic plan, strategic initiatives, etc.
  • Build and support strategic presentations, models and reports for investor, partner, and internal audiences

What We Are Looking for In a Candidate:

  • 10+ years of experience in Strategy, Management Consulting, Finance and/or Business Operations roles.
  • Experience in scaling a company through multiple stages of growth, preference for scaling internationally.
  • Outstanding presentation skills and communication (written and verbal).
  • Substantial experience understanding finance and modeling.
  • Fluent understanding of P&L dynamics and unit economics.
  • Ability to run point on projects and escalate as necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate information across multiple stakeholders and build effective business relationships within an organization.
  • Highly motivated working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, where there is no “typical” day and endless exponential growth.
  • An exemplary leader with a people-first mindset who can inspire and influence others.
