Terms & Conditions

By entering this contest, participants agree to the following terms:

1. Eligibility

  • Open to individuals aged 18 or older.
  • Canadian citizens currently residing in Canada.
  • No purchase necessary to enter or win.

2. Submission Requirements

  • Video entries must be original and no longer than 5 minutes.
  • Submissions must not contain copyrighted material unless you have the legal right to use it (e.g., royalty-free music, stock footage with appropriate licenses).
  • Entries must be submitted via a public or unlisted YouTube, Vimeo, or Google Drive link along with a completed submission form.
  • Only one entry per person or team.

3. Rights & Usage

  • By submitting an entry, you retain ownership of your work.
  • However, by entering, you grant the contest organizers a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use your video (in full or in part) for promotional purposes related to the documentary, including online, social media, trailers, and screenings.
  • If your video is selected as a winner, you agree to grant the organizers the right to edit and incorporate the content into the final documentary.

4. Prizes

  • Total prize pool: $300 CAD
  • Winner will be selected based on creativity, quality, storytelling, and alignment with the documentary theme.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and will be paid via e-transfer or PayPal.

5. Deadline

  • Submissions must be received by [  June 20, 2025 at 11:59 PM ET]
  • Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.

6. Announcement of Winner

  • Winners will be contacted by email
  • If a selected winner does not respond within 24 business days, another winner may be chosen.

7. Code of Conduct

  • Submissions must not include hate speech, discrimination, explicit content, or promote violence.
  • The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any entry deemed inappropriate or not in the spirit of the contest.

8. Organizer Rights

  • The organizers reserve the right to cancel or modify the contest at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.
  • The organizers are not responsible for technical issues or submission errors.
